Project document endorsement ceremony for return of 10 Serb familes to the Softaj/Softovic village of the Ferizaj/Urosevac Municipality (30/09/2009)

On 1st October 2009 in the municipal town hall of Ferizaj/Urosevac municipality, starting at 12:00, a project document signing ceremony will be held.

The Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac, the British Embassy, the Ministry for Communities and Return and UNDP will all sign the project document which allows the beginning of the construction of eleven houses, for ten K-Serb returnee families and one vulnerable K-Albanian family.

On the same occasion the project implementation agreement will be signed by Ferizaj/Urosevac municipality and UNDP.

This project is funded by a donation of €197,000 from the British Government, will be finalised by the end of December 09 and will be managed by the UNDP SPARK Organised Return Unit in close co-operation with the Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac. This project is part of the continuous support that the British Government has provided for the return process in Kosovo.

The British Ambassador in Kosovo, the Minister for Communities and Return, the Mayor of Municipality of Ferizaj/Urosevac and the Director of UNDP in Kosovo will be present at this important event.
